NOTES
Commissioned by Dr. Lisa Rogers (percussion professor at Texas Tech University), the Concerto for Vibraphone and Percussion Ensemble is divided into two contrasting movements. The first movement, "Night's Song," paints a picture of rain falling in the dark of the night - at times serene and beautiful, at others much more violent and passionate. The first movement segues smoothly into the second movement, "Enchanted Light," which explodes with sparkling excitement as the sun comes up and pours over the earth.
The Concerto for Vibraphone and Percussion Ensemble will receive its premiere in the fall of 2008.
